Carley - Sussex Sunday, 28 November 2010
On 16 Dec 1843 James Carley was convicted and sentenced to transportation to Australia for 21 years. The trail was in Lewes, Sussex. James' Father is Stephen Carley(1794 - 1827), Mother Sophia Veness. (1797 - 1873). They lived in the county of Sussex around Dallington and Brightling. I am trying to find Stephen Carley's Father, whose name I think is James, and trace back the Carleys as far it is possible.
