Andrew & Bridget Loftus together with his mother Mary his sons Thomas, Patrick, Johnathan and James moved from the Tuam area of Galway to England in about 1858 and are recorded on the 1861 census for Newcastle Staffs. I've been looking for them in the Tuam area for a few years now with no luck any clues would be appreciated. Thanks Ian.

Michael Loughnan/e m Johanna Phelan at place u/k. Dtr Bridget b circa 1840 2nd dtr Catherine b ch1843 lived on Tipperary Rd. Cahir. both girls ch. both girls immigrated to australia. Catherine on shipping named as Kate and always in my family called Granma Kate (never a d in the title used) a very much loved lady. The girls came OZ in 1860s Kate 3yrs after Bridget. Michael was deceased prior to either girl leaving home. What happened to the mother Johanna Loughnan/e nee Phelan. great grand daughter of Kate asking. June

iv hit a major brick wall nearly giving up .looking for my great great grandfathers family as he states on the 1901 census for co derry that he was born in co louth in 1841 his name was james or john james ledwidge cant trace any ledwidges in co louth around this time .i do know he worked on the building of the great northern railway .but then ended up in co derry where he married in 1858 .i really need help to find the place he was born and who was in his family in co louth please help me

One of my g g grandfathers Mical or Michael Landers emigrated to London during the famine 1840-1850 with his mother Elenor ( Ellen) - he was born around 1825 and she was born around 1790 - he married a Bridget Donoghue - I have found no birth or marriage details so anything would be great. Hilary
