Banchini Thursday, 02 September 2010
Any information on the Banchini family. Believed to come from Northern Italy area. Possibly, Pisa, Lucca or Florence, but not sure. Gaspero Banchini, my ancestor, was born in 1772, and we think in Italy. He was living in London in 1799 when he married a Sarah Lerner [or Learner] Any information would be much appreciated.

Stanley Friday, 27 August 2010
The Stanley Family come from Sheffield Joseph Stanley 1858 lived with Clara Thompson birth 1865 Sheffield. They moved to Cambridge. On the 1891 census he is JosephStanley , from then on he uses his second name John Stanley, he put that on my Grandads birth cert, also ClaraThompson. The first son william F Stanley birth cert is Joseph Stanley and Clara Cullingworth. Joseph/John Stanley was a pedlar on 1891 census and various other similar occupations. I wondered if they may be Gypsies but they did live in houses, Just their occupations I think Josephs/John 's father is Henry Stanley Sheffield and wife Mary Ann ?????? and that is as far as I have got, except,I know The children of Joseph/John Stanley and Clara/Thompson/Culingworth. The Clara Cullingworth comes from Wakefield, the other one from Sheffield !! Hows that for a start!
