Hi, Just found your site and decided to give it a go.It seems too good to be true! I am searching for my g g g grandfather, James English, and his family possibly living in Woodbridge, Suffolk in 1830. England and Wales Criminal Registers 1791-1892 has 1 record for him and 2 others possibly connected to him. It states: JAMES ENGLISH; Age 22yrs; Date of Trial, 15 Jan 1830 Epiphany; : Location of Trial, Woodbridge, Suffolk; Offence, Larceny; Guilty verdict; Transportation 7 yrs Australia on Royal Admiral 1 Jul 1830. Ref HO 11/7. His convict papers state Ipswich Suffolk as his origin.Ag Laboourer as his occupation. Other entries for the same name and area; Mar 1828, Larceny; 3 mths impris., age 20yrs AND 1817 Summer Session, James English, Suffolk, Guilty of burglary, sentence was death. Don't know if these were relatives of my grandfather. Any assistance you can give in helping me unravel one of my families 200 year old mysteries, would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you, Debb

Edmondson Wednesday, 22 September 2010
I'm looking for any reference to Joseph Edmondson after 1892. Joseph was born c 1871 in Gleaston, Aldingham, Cumbria/Lancashire, the son of John Edmondson and Elizabeth Hannah. In 1892 he married Margaret Watson (prev Philipson) in Dendron, Lancashire. In 1893 they had a daughter Ivy. After that I have no info re Joseph. In c 1898 Margaret had a further child but Joseph was not the father (father blank on BC). What happened to Joseph? Did he die? NO confirmed death reg'n found. Any help would be appreciated.
